My Call to Ministry_______________________________________________________________
Throughout my life the United Methodist Church has nurtured my faith and soul. I grew up in the home of a United Methodist pastor, and while at Centenary College, I heard a call to preach the Word and do the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:1-5). Since that time, 17 years ago, I have been preparing others to follow Jesus Christ using my gifts of preaching, teaching, leadership, and administration. 7 years ago I was ordained an elder in the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

My Ministry Experience___________________________________________________________
Moss Bluff United Methodist Church – Moss Bluff, LA.
In 2009 I was appointed to this 400 member church in the north suburbs or Lake Charles. The congregation is growing in faith and numbers, is a loving community, and is mission minded. You can learn more about Moss Bluff UMC at www.mossbluffumc.org

Jennings United Methodist Church - Jennings, LA.
From 2005-2009 I served this 400 member church, along with my wife, Allison, who served as the Director of Children’s Ministries & Adult Small Groups. During my 4 years the church received 90 professing members with 32 professions of faith and 26 baptized members. The church completed a study committee and long-term visioning process for their property and facilities. They renovated most of their classroom space and fellowship hall. They were finally able to sell the property from their 1998 merger with Trinity UMC, and the church grew their blended style of worship and their ministries with children and youth. My time of leadership and service with this church was awarded with the General Board of Discipleship’s Denman Evangelism Award, and I was received into the membership of the World Methodist Council’s Order of the Flame.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church - Slidell, LA.
From 2000-2005 I served as the associate pastor of this 1800 member church. My servant leadership focused on preaching, evangelism, family life, college & youth ministries, adult education, and a new Family Night Live worship service. In preaching I regularly incorporated art, storytelling, technology, and media into my Biblical sermons. In college ministry I built a yearly fellowship and mission program with the church's college students. I led a task force to begin a Sunday night, child-focused, lay-led, family worship service that averaged 100 in attendance. I also led the church's evangelism ministries with 38 baptisms, 53 professions of faith, and 150 new members, the second highest in the annual conference in 2005.

Brick by Brick United Methodist Church - Lexington, KY.
From 1999-2000 I served as a co-director of children's ministries along with my wife in a small membership, multi-cultural congregation. During my time at Brick by Brick I co-created, co-led, and maintained a mid-week children's program for children of inner city Lexington, Kentucky.

Downsville United Methodist Church - Downsville, LA.
From 1996-1997 I served as the director of youth ministries. Under my leadership this small church youth ministry grew in numbers, spiritual formation, and service to others.

Broadmoor United Methodist Church – Shreveport, LA.
In 1994 I completed a full-time internship with the children's and youth ministries of this 2600 member church in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Other Servant Ministries.
Over the last 17 years I have been a part of a variety of servant ministries. Here is a list of a few of them. I was a chaplain at the Thomas-Hood Veterans Center, and served at the Ichthus Christian Music Festival in Kentucky. I was a part of the leadership team that raised the money, designed, and built the Patrick Peavy, Jr. Memorial Climbing Wall at Centenary College, and I was the President of the Student Activities Board. Last, I served on national mission teams in Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida, Texas, the Navajo Nation, Chicago, New York City, and Cameron, LA, and I served on international mission teams in Mexico, Russia, and India.
